Ujena Final Shootout
One thing that is common at all Ujena Jams is the Ujena Shootout. After the top models and photographers are selected the last thing contestants need to do is the Shootout. This is a judged event. If there are over 100 models and photographers, 20 models and ten photographers are selected. If there are less than 100, then 10 models and five photographers are selected.

This is what happen at the Jam in Puerto Vallarta in 2007: At 4:00pm on September 1, 2007 the top twenty models, top ten photographers, and top five makeup artists came together for the Ujena Shootout. Prior to the shootout, each model met in the expo to have the top five makeup artists get them photo shoot ready. The top Ujena contestants were just announced at 12:00pm and it was no doubt that everyone was tired from the weeks events but this was the final judged event and what all of culminating events lead to so all of the contestants pushed every ounce of energy out here.

All contestants headed to the surprise shootout location. The Ujena staff selected a bag of swimwear from our new line for each model which they were given once they got there. The shootout was divided into two twenty minute halves. During the first half a the first group of five photographers would shoot and then the next group of five photographers would shoot the second half.

Each half had the models split into two groups of ten and each group of ten would shoot for ten minutes of the twenty minute half. While in their ten minute time frame each model had to be sure to shoot all of the product in their bag. Once the first twenty minute half was finished, it was time for the next five photographers half. Before the second half could begin, all of the models exchanged product bags and were then responsible for shooting all of the swimwear in their second bag.

The makeup artists were there for touch-ups and the Ujena staff were there to make sure the suit looked catalog ready during these quick changes. Bob and other staff observed the models and photographers as they worked to see if they had a Ujena style of shooting. This was such a great shoot and really showed who could keep up with Ujena's fast paced energy.
